Killyleagh YFC found itself in 2004 in a transitional period. The centre experienced the loss of its Youth Worker/Centre Co-ordinator in September 2004, when she made the difficult decision to move on after 3 years in service to God in Killyleagh. This left Killyleagh YFC operating on a volunteer base from September to December, which saw the ministries of girls group, discipling and homework club ceasing to run. The centre remained and is currently open 2 nights per week and sees regular numbers of young people attending in the region of 30-40 each night.

In January 2005 a new Youth Worker/Centre Co-ordinator was appointed, and a new Board were elected on the 10^th of March 2005. Killyleagh YFC looks forward with excitement to the next stage of its work for God. This year will see the development of a vision and strategy document. Our main areas of focus for 2005/06 will be, raising the profile and awareness of the centre and its work within the church and community, also the development of prayer ministry and our volunteer base. It is our prayer that God will be the centre of our centre and that we will be united and will honour Him in reaching the young people of Killyleagh.
